KinokoFry #106 – To Be a Bird

The original of this comic is available in the store now!

I am back from the TiNA festival!

It was sure some Times. As much as I vowed to take this TiNA easy, I was incredibly busy and in need of much more sleep than I got. But it was very, very worthwhile and I met a tonne of great people. Cartoonists, attendees, writers, musicians, etc. MAN there was a lot of talent in Newcastle last weekend. Thankyou to everyone who came out to meet me (I’m sure it wasn’t your only reason) either at the workshops or the zine fair.

Also, webcomic readers, thanks for your patience. Not only have I been attending an arts festival for the past week, but there have also been lots of irritating and incredibly stressful problems in my recent life and I was forced away from the computer and comics for awhile. All over now and things are back in swing! It is Spring! There is sun! And I am full of new ideas and motivation after a bloody great arts festival and a precious half an hour of beach swimming.

There are many more comics coming, including some about the festival.

If you missed me in Newcastle though, Melburbians, you can still come see me at Armageddon in a couple of weeks. I’m hoping to have some new things for sale at the table, but there will also be lots of prints and posters, of course.

Nice to see you are back! Quite sinister, this page. The last bit of winter, eh? Life is not always ladybugs and rainbows… wish it was, oh yeah…! But you depict a thougt I had for myself a couple of times. Expecially when attending medieval fairs. Without modern society health care I would probably have been dead by my second birthday or so.
To speak of seasons, here in Germany it’s autumn now, and a good mushroom season this time. Yummy!

I had a dream that I met you, last night. I told you how much I loved KinokoFry, and you took me all over Australia to see how beautiful the continent is. It was a wonderful day, but alas, I woke up.

poor little mushroom-bird must die from desease ? that’s the most cruel thought for today… I hope dinner is going to be less meaty today…
