Diary #030 – Newspaper Mama
This comic isn’t really about newspapers but I’ve had the song, “Newspaper Mama” in my head all evening.

I’ve been following your site for a little while now (well, about four weeks, but I read all the archives, does that count?) and just have to tell you I love your drawing style! (not a fan of Fed Square, though … too dry and pointy for my tastes. Although ACMI is brilliant)

You mean you don’t like the comic or the actual place? (I’ll assume the latter). Yeah, it’s a bit bland. It could use some big gardens! It only has a measly couple of trees.
I meant the actual Fed Square :-) … your comic makes it look more friendly. Def needs some grass or something.

These Melbourne comics are making me sad, I miss going to Fitzroy and Brunswick street with friends.
I spent a bit of time in Melbourne, I think it might have been my favorite place in Australia. I’ve got a whole album of pictures of graffiti from there. I’m pretty sure I spent some time in Federation Square as well. I like the mall with the brick building under the glass cone, and there’s a cool little magic shop around the arcade streets that was fun. Have you been to the theater where you get to sit in a bean bag? I didn’t go.
