Did you guys know that a hundred years ago I made an adventure game called Cirque de Zale? It’s a very simple affair, and it’s basically a Monkey Island clone/tribute. I cringe when I replay it, but it may bring you some kind of joy or laughter to see where an excited young girl spent 3 months making her first computer game.
The great thing is that now you can play it in English AND French! A lovely, lovely lady who shall be known as Shai-la of A La Grande Tasse Bleue went to all the trouble, all these many, many, MANY years after the game was long forgotten by all decent folk, of translating it in its entirety. What a champ!

“Do not stare at crow with remaining eye”… :D
The raven’s name is “Quoth”.
I dont get it
Supposedly you can go blind from staring at the sun with your naked eye or something, which is exactly what the crow was doing. But instead, the sun went blind.
Don’t try to make sense of it.
You did Cirque de Zale!? Boy, the internet is a small world after all.
I love Love LOVE that game!
and now all the references to Crows in early English lit make sense!
From whence did the name kinokofry arise?
It’s a bit of a medium length and not-very-interesting story!
It doesn’t really mean anything. “Kinoko” is the Japanese word for mushrooms, which was my internet handle for awhile. One time, I had to sign up to some forums with a first and last name so I chose ‘Fry’ as a last, because I liked it as a name, I was a Futurama fan, and it seemed to make sense in a couple of different ways that don’t really make sense.
When I was irst making this webcomic, I had no idea what I’d put here, and I had to give it a name, so I chose that, not even thinking I would eventually use mushroom characters.
Ah, and a little more of the world is now understood :)
Oh, and thank you =D
Wow.
Fried mushrooms.
Did you ever read the book of poems by Ted Hughes about Crow? Really cool, interestin’ takes on Native American and other crow myths. I think I may have a copy floatin around the house, if you’d like to read it.
Also, how cool is it that they’re in production for new episodes of Futurama again? Wheeee!
I think someone wrote out a Crow poem on my LiveJournal. It was really good.
That’s a good thing, cos I forgot to bring my copy to work. I wanted to give you a little quote, but somebody spared me the effort. Anyways, I most strongly recommend reading it. It’s a thin little volume, full of raw, wry energy and twisted humour.
