KinokoFry #071 – 100s and 1000s

Hooray! It feels great to be doing KinokoFry again after my near-death flu exerience. Honestly, your words of support were like chicken soup for my mind and really did help me feel better – thanks guys!

For those who don’t follow me on Twitter, I gave people a sneak peak at this comic in the middle of inking it so if you’re interested in seeing a half-finished comic, today is your lucky day!

Also:

Everyone, LOOK WHAT ALANDRA D. MADE!

There are some awkward times at the bus stop. Aren’t they great? Alandra has done the impossible with putting my very rigidly-2D characters into 3D.

Alandra makes all kinds of things, and I recommend you check out her food blog, and specifically the chicken cake. It’s an amazing chicken cake. The ladybugs are of course pretty fabulous too. But damn. That chicken cake.

A great new addition to the fan art page! Thankyou so much Alandra.

Right, to bed with me. This comic took about 10~11 hours! So many fussy details.

[FREDWICK and BEE sit at a picnic under a tree].

[The tree lowers one of its fruit and taps FREDWICK on the back]

[FREDWICK turns around as the tree lows a sombrero and poncho onto BEE]

[FREDWICK turns back, mystified].

‘Hundreds and thousands’ is a name used for ‘sprinkles’, used by Australians.

Grinded? Could you explain the problem? (and what browser/resolution you have?)

Wow! I was lured by the nice looking ad on One Question. I have only looked at this one page so far, but I am already seriously hooked! There just so _many_ neat things here! I sit in awe.

The entire world that your characters live in is so happy.
    Even the inanimate objects.
    It’s awesome.

I love how much there is to all your comics! Everything in the background is moving and flows with everything else! Not to mention how adorable and hilarious you make it at the same time :) I wish I lived in that world

hey i really liked this strip. perhaps not everybody would notice, but i liked how dynamic each panel was. it’s very noble of you to draw each panel individually, as it’s oftentimes tempting to take the shortcut of copypasta.

I admire the work done in this, with the bouncing rainbow, the trees shrinking on the moon to the right, the snake(?) that pops from the mini entrance on the left to the base of the tree, the tiny transforming silhouette house on the left…well done! also, your comic reminds me of the zany worlds of Dr. Seuss.

    Keep up the good work!

This strip was so awesome. I sit covered in the corner of my office and read comics and no one notices… but this one made me laugh so everyone realized I was not working :’( I love it though. Really, really love it.
