Phew! This one took awhile.
Once again: Anyone going to be in Melbourne this month? I’m going to be at Comic Book Funny with such greats as Patrick Alexander and David Blumenstein, and many other people I don’t know myself but they could be great. I’ve taken part in special sexy calendar which will be launched there – my picture will be the cover in fact! I won’t be on any panels or anything, but you might see me there and you can certainly say ‘hi’. I don’t know about the other days but I’ll certainly be there on the 18th and 25th of April.
I have a very busy weekend ahead of me, what with ALL THE WORK I will for sure be getting done. Hoo boy, I cannot wait to have this great pile of things I plan on definitely doing done. One of which is getting lots of work on my children’s book done.
Gosh, gosh, golly gosh I am excited about publishing my very first book.
For future reference, I’ve also done possibly the best illustration I’ve ever done for a book that will be sold to raise money for the National Institute of Rare Diseases. It’ll be out later this year and I want SO BADLY to show you the picture, so I’ll be letting you know as soon as I have solid info about the book (filled with a ridiculous helping of gorgeous illustrations from many, many talented people).
Thankyou once again for helping with the Donation Drive! It’s a wonderful, wonderful help, you lovely, lovely people.

poor grayscale! -.-
i love it when you bring the whole canvas to life…
“one small swing for spider but a huge leap for his kind” =D
also: what are those little fern-haired fellas called?
damn, i would love to have a wall full of your creative effusions.
“That’s no moon” indeed… :D
This is great! I love the thing eating the cupcake shaped thing on the left side.
Tom: That’s j’raff.
This one’s great. I didn’t even notice the moon moving until it was too late.
Rebecca,
me love y 4 sure ;)
Stefan: Oh no! If only you had noticed sooner, you might have saved him!
hope you enjoy the comic book funny. i went to it last year, and, altho it alienated a few of the audience there (who were not familiar with comics, and were just there because they thought that it’s a free part of the melbourne comedy festival, therefore not understanding what’s actually happening), it was generally fun.
i can’t make it to the first week this year, but maybe i’ll see you on week 2,3 or 4. cheers!
woooow, rebecca you’re just getting better and better! i really like this kind of visual, conceptual joke, they’re much harder to pull off effectively than just verbal gags!
Cool comic, if you’re going to do a kids book it will kick arse! Hope melbourne is treating you well :)
so much going on between frames….
I think I need to scan the archives and see what I’ve mised
[...] 54th strip from my webcomic, [...]
Rebecca, this is probably your single greatest masterpiece. Admittedly it’s old, but I will be forever putting your strips up to its simple, elegant standard.
Aside from the hyperbole, it does put everything Kinokofry is great for in three sublime panels. And an alt text.
