Okay guys, I’m doing a very limited series of postcards to raise money for a very worthy cause.
Victoria, Australia has recently experienced the worst bushfires we’ve ever seen, and many people have lots their lives, their homes, all their possessions… it just blows the mind to think about some of the great losses some people are now facing. There are an awful lot of people in very sudden need right now and lots of people around the country are raising money to help.
Authorities were saying Wednesday that more than 500 people have been injured, nearly 1,000 homes destroyed, thousands left homeless and at least 365,000 hectares (901,935 acres) of the Australian countryside burned black.
The death toll currently stands at 181 but is expected to soon increase to 300. You can see more photos here.
So! In order to raise money to help the bushfire victims, I’m going to be doing some postcards for YOU.

I’ll be doing a total of 10 postcards featuring a character based on any inanimate object you like, for $50 each, for the first 10 people that donate. They can even be customised into Valentine’s day cards if you wish!
AU$50 from 10 people will raise $500 for the bushfire victims, and that’s a nice little chunk on money that will no doubt do lots of good!

Aww, it’s nice you lending your thoughts. We came pretty close last week, the fires were about 1km away from us (Drouin) but it changed directions. Actually the Bunyip fires have been pretty non-destructive in comparison to the devestation of Kinglake and Marysville. Good luck with the cause!
